Buttered steak chunks with mushrooms
Ingredients:
1 kilos steak
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 tablespoons butter (divided)
6 ounces crimini mushrooms or small buttons (halved)

Instructions for use:
1. Prepare steak
Cut steak into 1/2″ to 3/4″ pieces. Sprinkle meat generously with 3/4 teaspoon salt and black pepper.
2. Heat frying pan
Heat a heavy, flat-bottomed frying pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon butter. Once the butter has melted, swirl it around to coat the pan. Add about a third of the meat, spreading it around the pan.
3. Cook the steak
Cook the meat for 1 minute, then use a large spatula to turn the pieces over. Cook for a further minute. Using a spatula, transfer the cooked meat to a plate and repeat with the remaining meat, in batches.
4. Keep steak warm
Add another tablespoon of butter to the pan. The meat should only take a few minutes to cook. Once the meat is cooked, cover the pan with aluminum foil to keep the steaks warm.
5. Cook the mushrooms
In the same pan, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the sliced mushrooms. Sprinkle with the remaining salt and cook the mushrooms s
6. Mix and serve
Add the cooked mushrooms and remaining butter to the plate with the steak bites. Serve hot and enjoy!
