🍗 French Onion Chicken Bake 🧀
📋 Ingredients:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 2 large onions, thinly sliced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1/2 cup beef broth
– 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish large enough to fit the chicken breasts.
2️⃣ Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
3️⃣ In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
4️⃣ In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5️⃣ Add minced garlic and dried thyme to the skillet with the caramelized onions. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
6️⃣ Deglaze the skillet with beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
7️⃣ Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the onion mixture.
8️⃣ Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each chicken breast.
9️⃣ Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
