Delicious King Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish
Ingredients:
1 package King’s Hawaiian rolls
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup cherry pie filling
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Powdered sugar for dusting
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
Top the cream cheese layer with cherry pie filling.
Place the top halves of the rolls back on top of the cherry filling.
Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the filling is set.
Let the danishes cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
