They decided to start trying for a child when Holly turned 34, but after a year they learned that Holly needed to have one of her fallopian tubes removed because she had given birth to a child with a defect, meaning one of her fallopian tubes was closed and she was unable to become pregnant. Holly and Jason were directed to a reproductive endocrinologist because of Holly’s fallopian tube removal and age, even though her doctor informed her that it was extremely improbable that she would become pregnant within that month because the position of the egg is in the “offset.” In February 2012, she became pregnant. The child is a boy.

Holly and Jason decided to try again and visited their fertility specialist after spending months attempting to lift their depression. In January 2013, she became pregnant with a baby girl through injections and several cycles later. They were able to maintain their optimism despite their sorrow over their son’s passing. On May 24, 2013, Holly lost her baby girl at the age of four due to a genetic issue. A few months later, they began fertility therapy once more, but Holly wasn’t expecting this time. They decided to try in vitro fertilization (IVF) after many months passed without finding any cause or explanation for her inability to conceive, and Holly was 38 years old at the time.

The likelihood of conceiving with IVF, in her doctor’s opinion, is roughly 50/50, leaving only three multicellular embryos. Despite the low probability of multiple deliveries, Holly was expecting triplets when they opted to use all three. “I am aware of the dangers of carrying triplets and am aware that a successful outcome is improbable. We had to make some difficult decisions, including whether to risk losing everything or terminate the pregnancy because having triplets increases the danger of early birth for all three of the infants, she said. She gave birth to all three triplets on June 9, 2015, despite the fact that physicians had advised them that one of her triplets would need to be removed. Three-year-old Savannah, Wyatt, and Beau were born barely one minute apart.

She is extremely proud. Raising triplets isn’t easy, but it is so rewarding. I think it has been so amazing to be part of a unit like they are since the day they were born.  Everyone tells us we are so incredibly blessed to have three healthy miracle babies.
