Succulent Steak Topped with Rich Creamy Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients:
4 beef steaks (such as ribeye or sirloin)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the creamy garlic shrimp sauce over the top. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
