Spicy Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Pasta Delight
Ingredients:
8 oz fettuccine
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
7 oz andouille sausage, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish


Directions:
Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
In the same skillet, add sausage slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Return shrimp and sausage to the skillet. Add cooked fettuccine and toss to coat in the sauce.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley.
