Oreo Banana Bread

Combine ripe bananas and Oreos for a moist, chocolatey twist on classic banana bread.
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup granulated white sugar
½ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
3 ripe bananas, mashed until smooth
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups Oreos, coarsely chopped
5-6 Oreos for topping
Optional: Dark chocolate, melted for serving
Prepare Ingredients: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-by 5-inch loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla, and mashed bananas using a hand mixer or whisk.
Combine Mixtures: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined to avoid overmixing.
Add Oreos: Gently fold in chopped Oreos.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Top with additional chopped Oreos. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool: Let bread rest in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with melted chocolate if desired.
