Grilled Salmon Burgers with Avocado Salsa 🍔🥑🐟
📋 Ingredients:
For the Salmon Burgers:
1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for brushing
For the Avocado Salsa:
2 ripe avocados, diced
1 small tomato, diced
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving:
Hamburger buns
Lettuce leaves
Sliced red onion (optional)
Sliced tomato (optional)
📝Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
2️⃣ Cut the salmon fillet into chunks and place them in a food processor. Pulse until the salmon is finely chopped but not pureed.
3️⃣ In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, finely chopped red onion, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, chopped fresh dill, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
4️⃣ Divide the salmon mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties.
5️⃣ Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the salmon patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and lightly charred.
6️⃣ While the salmon burgers are grilling, prepare the avocado salsa. In a bowl, combine diced avocados, diced tomato, diced red onion, chopped fresh cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Gently toss to combine.
7️⃣ To assemble the burgers, place lettuce leaves on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Top with a grilled salmon patty, a spoonful of avocado salsa, and optional sliced red onion and tomato. Cover with the top half of the hamburger bun.
8️⃣ Serve the grilled salmon burgers with avocado salsa immediately.
