French Onion Beef and Noodles 🍲🧅🥩
📋 Ingredients:
8 ounces egg noodles
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced
2 onions, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add thinly sliced beef sirloin steak and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ In the same skillet, add sliced onions and minced garlic. Cook until onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
4️⃣ Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the caramelized onions.
5️⃣ Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in dried thyme and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6️⃣ Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.
7️⃣ Add cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the French onion beef mixture.
8️⃣ Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over the top of the noodles and beef mixture.
9️⃣ Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
🔟 Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes 💡:
◻️ For a richer flavor, you can use beef stock instead of beef broth. 🍖
