Filet Mignon with Creamy Parmesan Mustard Sauce
Ingredients:
4 filet mignon steaks
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Directions:
Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, covered with foil.
In the same skillet, add the butter and garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir until the sauce is thickened and smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Sprinkle with fresh thyme and serve hot.
