Delightful Peach Lemonade
Ingredients:
4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5-6 lemons)
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Lemon slices and peach slices for garnish (optional)
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine the peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the peaches are soft, about 10 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Pour the peach mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.
Strain the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice, if desired.
Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill.
Serve the peach lemonade over ice cubes, garnished with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, and peach slices if desired.
