Chicken Gloria
Creamy Mushroom and Muenster Chicken Gloria
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded Muenster cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off the excess.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove chicken from skillet and place in a greased baking dish.
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and sauté until they are brown and have released their juices, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer and let cook until the sauce starts to thicken, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
Pour the mushroom sauce over the chicken in the baking dish. Sprinkle Muenster cheese evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
