Cajun lemon grilled shrimp
Ingredients:
1 lb. large, shelled and peeled fresh shrimp (Argentine red shrimp recommended)
2 lemons
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mama seasoning
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon basil
¼ teaspoon chili powder

Directions:
Prepare the grill: Clean the grill grates and spray them with nonstick spray. Preheat the grill over medium-high heat to make sure it is hot and ready to cook.
Mix the seasonings: In a small bowl, whisk together Parmesan cheese, brown sugar, garlic salt, Slap Ya Mama® seasoning, black pepper, smoked paprika, basil, and chili powder until well combined. This flavorful blend of seasonings will infuse the shrimp with Cajun-inspired goodness.
Season the shrimp: Dry peel and devein the shrimp, then place them in a large resealable bag. Add the seasoning mixture to the bag, seal it tightly and shake it gently to evenly coat the shrimp with the spices. Once coated, remove the shrimp from the bag and place them on a skewer plate.
Shrimp skewers: Thread the seasoned shrimp into the skewers, alternating with thin slices of lemon for added flavor. Slicing a lemon into slices and squeezing the juice from the remaining lemon will add citrus notes to the shrimp during grilling.
Grill the shrimp: Place the shrimp skewers directly on the preheated grill. While the shrimp are cooking, squeeze in lemon juice to enhance the flavor and keep them moist. Grill the shrimp for 3-4 minutes per side, or until opaque and cooked through, with lively grill marks.
Serve and Enjoy: Once the shrimp are cooked to perfection, remove them from the grill and squeeze more lemon juice over them for an extra burst of citrusy freshness. Serve Cajun lemon grilled shrimp hot off the grill and savor the irresistible flavors of summer.
