Savory Smothered Cube Steak with Onion Gravy

Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cube steaks (about 1 pound)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Directions:
Season the cube steaks with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and sear until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add onions and sauté until they start to soften and brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits.
Return the steaks to the skillet, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
Serve the steaks smothered in onion gravy and garnished with fresh parsley.
