🥔 Slow Cooker German Potato Soup with Sausages 🍲
📋 Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups (about 600g) potatoes, peeled and diced
4 cups (960ml) chicken or vegetable broth
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
1 pound (450g) German sausages, sliced
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
2️⃣ Transfer the sautéed onion and garlic to the slow cooker.
3️⃣ Add the diced potatoes, chicken or vegetable broth, dried thyme, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
4️⃣ Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
5️⃣ About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream and sliced German sausages.
6️⃣ Continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes, until the soup is heated through and the sausages are cooked.
7️⃣ Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
8️⃣ Serve the slow cooker German potato soup hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
