Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
• 4 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
• 11 ounces Kraft caramels, unwrapped
• 2 tablespoons milk
• Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Directions:
1. Grease a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set it aside.
2. In a big microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and marshmallows together. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds until the marshmallows are melted and fluffy. Stir the mixture until smooth.
3. Combine the melted marshmallows with the Rice Krispies cereal in another large bowl. Mix well.
4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
5. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, mix the caramels and milk. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 20 seconds. Stir until completely smooth, heating in 10-second increments if necessary.
6. Pour the caramel sauce over the Rice Krispies treats, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top.
7. Let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes to set.
8. Cut into 16 bars and serve.
