🍍 Pineapple Teriyaki Slow Cooker Ribs 🍖
📋 Ingredients:
2 racks of baby back ribs
1 cup (240ml) pineapple juice
1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
1/4 cup (60ml) hoisin sauce
1/4 cup (60ml) honey
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ Season the racks of baby back ribs with salt and black pepper.
2️⃣ In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pineapple juice, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes if using.
3️⃣ Place the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker and pour the pineapple teriyaki sauce over them, making sure they are well coated.
4️⃣ Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are tender and cooked through.
5️⃣ Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
6️⃣ Preheat your oven broiler to high.
7️⃣ Brush the ribs with some of the cooking juices from the slow cooker.
8️⃣ Broil the ribs in the preheated oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the edges are caramelized and slightly crispy.
9️⃣ Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
🔟 Garnish the Pineapple Teriyaki Slow Cooker Ribs with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired before serving.
