Jumbo Blue Cookie Monster Cookies 🍪💙
Fun, chunky, and blue, these cookies are a delight with mini Oreos and white chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
Unsalted butter, softened: ½ cup
Light brown sugar: ¾ cup
Granulated sugar: ¼ cup
Large egg: 1
Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
Blue food coloring: as needed
All-purpose flour: 2 cups
Salt: ½ teaspoon
Baking powder: ½ teaspoon
White chocolate chips: ⅔ cup, divided
Mini Oreos: ⅔ cup, divided
Mini chocolate chip cookies: ⅔ cup, divided
Directions:
Cream Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Mix Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and blue food coloring until desired shade is reached.
Combine Dry Ingredients: Add flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing just until combined.
Add Extras: Stir in half of the white chocolate chips, mini Oreos, and mini chocolate chip cookies. Save the rest for topping.
Prepare Dough Balls: Divide the dough into six equal portions and form each into a ball on a prepared cookie sheet.
Top Cookies: Add remaining white chocolate chips and broken cookie pieces to the top of each dough ball.
Chill: Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until edges are just golden.
Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
