🇮🇹 Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions Dish 🌶️🍽️
📋 Ingredients:
1 pound Italian sausage links (sweet or spicy), sliced into rounds
2 bell peppers, sliced (any color you prefer)
1 large onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat.
2️⃣ Add the sliced Italian sausage rounds to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers, sliced onions, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
4️⃣ Return the cooked Italian sausage to the skillet with the peppers and onions.
5️⃣ Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the sausage, peppers, and onions. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to taste.
6️⃣ Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until everything is heated through and well combined, about 5 minutes.
7️⃣ Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
8️⃣ Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
📝 Notes:
◻️ You can serve this dish on its own, or with crusty bread, over pasta, or with rice.
◻️ Customize the dish by adding other vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini.
