Irresistible Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 oz marshmallows
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup mini marshmallows, for topping (optional)
Directions:
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
Stir in the caramel sauce and sea salt until well combined and heated through.
Remove from heat and quickly fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press evenly with a spatula or greased hands.
If desired, sprinkle mini marshmallows over the top and lightly press them into the mixture.
Let cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then cut into squares or bars.
