Hamburger, Pepper, and Onion Gyros
Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
4 pita breads
Tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, lettuce, feta cheese


Directions:

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the beef. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Warm the pita breads in the oven or on a skillet until slightly crispy.
Assemble the gyros by spreading tzatziki sauce on each pita bread, then spooning the beef, pepper, and onion mixture onto the bread. Add optional toppings like sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and feta cheese if desired.
Fold the pita bread around the filling and serve immediately
