Easiest Homemade Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 small Yellow Onion, finely diced
2 15-ounce cans Stewed Tomatoes
1 6-ounce can Tomato Paste
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon Sugar
1/2 cup Chicken Broth or Water
Instructions:
In a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and onions. Sauté until tender.
In a food processor or blender, add the stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, pepper, and sugar. Pulse until smooth.
Add the tomato mixture to the onions in the saucepan and add the chicken broth. Sauté for 10 minutes to let the flavors blend.
