Cheesy Sausage and Rice Casserole
Savory Cheesy Sausage and Rice Bake
Ingredients:
1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
1 cup uncooked rice
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 small onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter


Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage, onion, and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the sausage is lightly browned.
In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stir in the uncooked rice and the sausage mixture. Pour everything into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the rice is cooked through.
Let cool slightly before serving.
