Savory Hamburger Steak in Rich Onion Gravy
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 large onion, sliced
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard


Directions:
In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook until onions are soft and caramelized.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard.
Return the patties to the skillet, spooning the gravy over them. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
