Crispy Creole Chicken
Just made this amazing Haitian Fried Chicken – Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside! 😋🍗
Recipe
Ingredients:
4 large chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon ground clove
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup flour
Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions:
Rinse the chicken thighs and pat them dry.
In a large bowl, combine lime juice, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, clove, and nutmeg.
Add chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
Coat each marinated chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess.
Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
